All over the United states there are people who argue for and against banning pit bulls or putting rules put there on them. You even have celebrities getting involved in this .Back in 2008 Sarah Palin made a comment comparing hockey moms and pit-bulls ,Jon Stewart made a comment back stating , "One is unfairly maligned in spite of evidence that it is no worse than any other dog, and one is an artificial demographic that is no better or worse than any other mom."
Jon Stewart is even a owner of several pitbulls, just like many other celebrities .People all over take this issue so serious ,there was even a march in D.C. On May 3rd ,the Million Pibbles march happened ,which is an effort to make sure pit bulls ,and bully breeds don't get banned .But even as people try to not get them banned ,there's as many people that want them to be banned. But thats more of my opinion i'm not sure the exact numbers . 3.3 percent of Americans own bully breeds, that leaves only 96.7 percent of other breed and breed mixes .According to National Canine Research Council (NCRC)If a Breed-specific legislation (BSL) law does go in to place it will effect the following:American Bulldog, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier, Cane Corso, Chihuahua, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, Dogo Argentina, German Shepherd Dog, Miniature Bull Terrier, Pit bull, Presa Canario, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, and wolf-hybrids .Other places in the country may have different dog breeds banned depending on the dog.
